Filter by Current Date, Date Math

Suppose there are dates in a list (e.g., a task list) and you would like to show all tasks which are due in the upcoming week.  Presently this can only be configured at runtime by the user.  It would be nice to be able to specify something in the filter like "<=today()+7".

    I found the answer.  Create a calculated column which computes a Boolean value, then filter the view on the calculated column.  This is covered in the manual.  Note to self: read the manual more closely before posting.
