Import csv with usernames as field

Hi,

I am importing fields from csv. One of these fields contains a property "Asset Manager". The property type is Username. When I import the field is ignored. I have already tried

- the actual name

- the emailaddress

- the technical ID derived from the API

Any other suggestions?

Hi Fred, there is a Ninox field called "User". That is the field I used. But it doesn't fill when I use csv import.

    Hi Bert -

You must be referrering to field in a template DB? How about this.

Open the table with the field called User.

    Click on Edit Fields

Find the User field and let me know what icon is next to it. Is it a T or N or some other icon?

A screenshot of the Edit Fields window with the field show would be great.

    Hi Bert -

I'm not asking for the field name. I'm asking for the field type. Please review the this tutorial to get oriented with Ninox:

    https://docs.ninox.com/en/tutorial/basics

Then maybe my previous question will make more sense.

The 'user' field is sort of choice field and is used in situations where you have more than one team-member in your cloud-team.

The field can't be filled with text. It can't even programmatically be assigned with a value. Just a choice field. It doesn't even give back a number when I use a formula field with number(User).

In your situation of importing data, I would use a text-field.

Thanks Steven. I'm using the MacOS app so I don't see a User field.

    Thanks Steven and Fred,

Pitty it doesn't work: filtering worked nice with the user field.

But manually entering 2700 users is not ideal..

    Hi Bert -

You can import the data into another field.
