Mac desktop and cloud

I'm using the Mac version, and it's working well. I would like to share some of the tables so that others can read them, and possibly download files. Do I have to get a Cloud account to do that, and if so, how do I link it to my desktop database? Do I have to transfer completely to the cloud, or can I work the two together?
