Ninox interaction with a dedicated barecode/qrcode usb scanner

Hello,

It is not clear to me if I can use a standard USB barecode/qrcode scanner with ninox. Can I ?

The scanner will be pluged into a desktop computeur. What I want to achieve is when the operator scans a product, the corresponding record shows up automatically in ninox.

Is it also possible to do that on ninox for iphone/ipad ?

This aspect is critical for my process.

    On the iPhone/iPad and on Android devices the camera will do the scanning. Use the function

    barcodeScan()
    –––
    to activate the bar code scanner.

    On the Ninox App for Mac or in the browser version the scanner is just another input device. You'll have to switch to the scannen on OS-level.

    Do you mean that I need something like a barcode scanner that makes http calls to Ninox Cloud through the API  ?

    No. The barcode scanner should be available as an input device like your keyboard.
