Getting Started - example please!

Hi, I'm just getting started and could do with a worked example. For example, how do I calculate the number of days between date1 and date2? The manual gives me days(date1, date2) but where do I put this in a field and how do I reference the start and end fields? I'm on the Mac (iCloud) version. Thanks, Tim.

    Sorted. I simply add a Formula field and days('Fstart', 'Fend') does the job... liking this producxt!
