Technical Help / Creating serial numbers for group and sub groups
Using number(Id) is indeed a good way to get unique serial numbers. If, in your business case, you need serial numbers that start at "1" for each group inside a box, and for each subject inside a group, that is possible too. Let's suppose that each level has a number field named "Serial", and that the subject level also has a text field named "Subject Name". For the boxes, there is no parent. So w

Technical Help / Prevent new entry if required field empty
yes, that what I found, I made a table with country and related state. Then I made a country choice list. According to the country selected, the next filed is linked to the country/state table and show only the state column according to country selected...Works fine! I have a question about form, I see that each form item is linked with table fields. Is there a way to add some item without any lin
Technical Help / Phone Number Formatting?
Halio, below is my latest code (with lots of ideas taken from Sean). It adds a "+" to any string of numbers over 10, adds the (###) ###-### formatting to any string of 10+ numbers, and completes any string under 10 digits with "x" as a placeholder for the last digits so you can quickly see that you are missing digits in the string. For you to have every number start with "+00" , and not any other
Technical Help / Subtable - ordering system
First... LOL... So, I created a new tab (Add Item) at first following your idea but in the end I deleted it and now I have theese fields (Search, Qty, button ete) at first place at my main form. I added fields for Discount and Price. I added and a Cancel button. Now I will use some logic to it: e.g. if I don't type any Price it will copy the Price from the Articles table and, of course, look up th
Technical Help / Question
Hi and thanks for your ideas on this. It's great in a lot of ways, But it won't work if you start deleting rows. First of all it selects from the Id field which is counting on even if rows is deleted. If I have row 1,2,3 with id 1,2,3 and then delete row 3. Then The next record will be row 3 again BUT, ID 4. It will then check for values from 4-1 which is 3 and that id does not exist anymore. Ther
Technical Help / Renumbering Subtable Records
I have a table named 'Apps Project' and a subtable named 'Trial Summary' that I want to be able to renumber with a button. This is only necessary if/when I've deleted records to throw off the numbering. For example: I have T1, T2, T3, T4. I delete T1 and T3 and I'm left with T2 and T4. I want to be able to renumber those trials as T1 and T2 with the button formula. I figure the best way of handlin

Technical Help / When creating a calculated formula, how do I indent to the next line in the formula?
For example, I have a field that contains: "Choose Populated Email" and once I choose a value, I have trigger after update setup, to where that selected response will populate a field I have named "Subject" and another field named "Body" with the email contents I wish to send out. (I know this does not actually send out the email, it is just so we have record of the sent email). Anyways, my questi
Technical Help / Debt and credit
Hi, I checked it now with your example and I realised the it was because of using the Ninox Id to order the records. As they are not stored in a number field but in a text field the order will fail the expected result starting with the 10th row as it will be ordered alphanumerically. To avoid this please use the formula as follows: let myID := number(_id);let before_d := sum((select myTable)[numbe
