Challenge
A paperless solution
Prior to the Ninox project, WMZ was faced with the challenge of finding a paperless solution for the production and repair of their motor spindles. Managing extensive spindle data and improving quality control and customer service were key concerns.
Solution
A paperless solution
In close cooperation with Ninox, our premium solution partner parcs worked with WMZ to develop a tailor-made solution based on the cloud-based Ninox platform. parcs created a digital protocol and analysis tool that raised the long-standing analog data basis in spindle production to a modern, efficient level.
Dr. Udo Tüllmann, managing director of Werkzeugmaschinenbau Ziegenhain GmbH: “With our strong partner parcs, we have transformed our ambitious project into a robust, cloud-based IT solution in a very short time, which will sustainably increase our quality, efficiency and service. We will continue this approach for other product groups to best support our customers.”
Johannes Schmitz-Lenders, managing partner of parcs IT-Consulting, sees great potential for similar solutions in mechanical engineering and other manufacturing companies that require cost-effective individual solutions and adds: “The combination of WMZ's expertise as a spindle manufacturer and our experience in the area of complex software systems has produced a tailor-made and modern solution here. The use of the low-code Ninox platform has significantly reduced development risks and costs. ”
Key features
- Digital assembly reports
- Dashboards and analytics tools
- Mobile working
Benefits
- Optimized production: Assembly reports are now available to employees on tablets. A structured pool of information simplifies future assignments and improves overall quality
- Efficient maintenance: The digital documentation (with photos and reports) of the current status of each spindle enables faster maintenance work
- Customer-oriented service: Comprehensive analysis tools enable motor spindles to be traced and compared over their entire life cycle. This database paves the way for predictive maintenance
- Environmental awareness: The digital project saves over 60,000 pages of paper annually, which contributes to a positive impact on the environment
