Customer profile

Die Joinery Martin März GmbH is a craft business based in Bavaria near Lake Starnberg. The company employs around ten people, including three in the office and seven to nine in the workshop — depending on the project situation. Around 50 to 100 projects are implemented annually — a considerable number for a company of this size.

Challenge

The carprentry used before numerous individual solutions: This included paper files, Outlook, Excel, a separate app for construction site documentation, “WISO My Office” for banking and other applications. Multiple manual data collection in the various software systems, a inefficient flow of information and media breaks were the result of this number of isolated solutions.

When preparing offers in particular, many time-consuming and error-prone work steps had to be carried out manually. The goal of Schreinerei Maerz and definitely digital was therefore to map all business processes from contact to billing in a single system without depending on classic and rigid software solutions.

The decision to introduce a new software solution was made at the beginning of 2024 when a Ninox network partner established contact with Fabian Glanz from definitiv digital. The aim was to bundle all joinery business processes in a central system. The implementation was then carried out gradually and in a practical manner. First, a concept was developed together based on existing work processes — with the aim of not adapting the processes to the software, but adapting the software to practical practice.

Ninox-based solution from definitiv digital.

Building on this, used definitiv digital their system of modular software components: With an initial focus on costing and the Supply system Specific templates were developed for typical carpentry projects such as stairs, cabinets or doors. Great emphasis was placed on automation, flexibility and intuitive comprehensibility of the functions. All calculation functions were individually adapted to the company's requirements.

Most of the collaboration with definitiv digital took place remotely and worked smoothly. Both sides were actively involved: While definitiv digital took over the technical implementation, the joinery contributed the technical know-how and specific requirements. After just a short time, the new Ninox-based solution was ready for use. It made it possible to create offers directly on the construction site within a few minutes. Thanks preconfigured templates Even complex projects such as stairs or built-in cupboards can be calculated directly on site in just a few minutes and issued as a professional offer.

It is particularly helpful for us that we can also make adjustments to our functions ourselves in Ninox — this makes our work much easier. With the knowledge we have built up together with Definitiv Digital, we can implement our wishes and requirements easily and quickly.

Solution

Today, the Martin März joinery works with a fully integrated Ninox solution that is almost all internal office processes digital depicts. The entire Project progress, from initial contact to Preparation of offers up to final invoice, is now taking place in a central system. This has not only significantly accelerated processes, but has also significantly increased transparency throughout the company.

The benefits of the new solution are evident everywhere: Project management is now clear and consistent. All information, tasks and documents are available to everyone involved at any time. Push notifications ensure that important information about project progress, rework or reminders is not overlooked.
